We'll be getting married at Cragwood Hotel, Windermere, on Saturday the 8th of November, 2025. We'll also be hosting a pre-wedding dinner on the evening of the 7th.

All wedding guests are invited to stay with us at Cragwood on the nights of the 7th and the 8th at a discounted rate of £160 per room - please see the FAQ section for further details on this!

How to get there (From inside the UK)

By Train
  • Manchester Piccadilly -> Windermere Train Station (1 Hr 45 Min)
  • 555 Bus to Keswick, From Windermere Bus Interchange to Ecclerig Visitor Centre (13 Mins)

  • Local taxi or Uber to the hotel. Call (+44) (0)7506715250 for a local taxi. It's outside the city but Uber's are still pretty common. (15 Mins)
  • If you get off the bus, head in the same direction on foot for around 50 feet and you'll get to the hotel's private road, it's the first left. Follow the signs for Cragwood and you'll make it to the hotel in around 5 minutes.

How to get there (From France)


A partir du 2 Avril 2025, tous les citoyens non-britanniques devront postuler pour un ETA (Electronic Travel Authorisation - VISA pour touristes) pour passer la frontière. Cela coute £10 et est valable 2 ans. Le processus devrait prendre 3 jours.

  • Manchester est relié à Paris par AirFrance, EasyJet ou Ryanair. Des vols sont aussi disponibles depuis Marseille (Ryanair), Genève (EasyJet) et Lyon (Easyjet).
  • L'aéroport de Manchester est relié au centre ville par Train, Tram, Bus et Taxi (se diriger vers "The Station" - Terminal 2)
  • Une fois à Manchester, se référer aux précédentes instructions (ou envoyer un message à Emilie).

We kindly ask our guests to follow our colour palette and dress formally to create a beautiful, cohesive atmosphere. The colours and styles will enhance the day's aesthetic and ensure everyone looks amazing in photos we'll treasure forever. Thank you for helping bring our vision to life! Anyone dressed primarily in white will be escorted off the premise and discreetly executed.

Can I bring my kid(s)?

No.

Can I bring a plus one?

No.

My partner / sibling / mistress / etc isn't on my RSVP, can they come?

No. Only guests named on RSVPs are invited.

Will there be assigned seats?

Yes, for both the ceremony and the sit-down meal in the evening. Groomsmen will be on hand to guide you to your assigned seats.

What happens on the cruise?

If the weather allows for it, we'll be taking a short tour around Windermere lake. Please note that this will be in November, so wrap up warm! We'll have photos, perhaps a bottle or two of wine smuggled on board, and music.

Can I take photos on my phone?

Not during the ceremony, we'll have an official photographer there to capture the moment - you can relax and put your phone away. Throughout the rest of the day, feel free to take as many photos as you like. We'll also have a photobooth later on in the evening, and disposable cameras.

Are you accepting donations / gifts?

Yes, if you wish to contribute to the honeymoon fund, please see the details below. There are no obligations whatsoever to contribute, and we'll be incredibly grateful for anything we do receive!

What else can I do in Windermere?

Windermere is a lovely, accessible area of the lakes. If you're planning on heading up before, or staying after the wedding, there are plenty of lovely little pubs, hiking opportunities, and towns to visit. We would recommend taking the path up to Orrest Head, which starts just near Windermere station.

Can we stay at the hotel? How much is it?

Yes, you can stay at Cragwood Hotel, and we would love it if you did! Rooms are around £160 per night and you will share (and split the bill!) with your partner or friends. You can stay on both the Friday and Saturday night. Please indicate which nights you would like to stay on the booking form, and we'll get in touch to allocate these. Payment of rooms is on check-out, which will be at 10:00am on the Sunday the 9th.
